2-day Court-Approved Parenting Classes
for Divorcing Parents

WHY SHOULD PARENTS CHOSE SPIRITT CO-PARENTING CERTIFICATION?

—Whether a divorce is contested or unconstested, with the SPIRITT Co-Parenting Certification program parents will learn and be able to adopt new ways of coping with their divorce, separation, child custody, and paternity matters while minimizing its negative affects on their children. Parents will earn their court-approved Co-parenting Certification in this valuable 9-hour course, in just two days, backed by the SPIRITT Family Services commitment to social services, clinical experience, use of evidence-based research, and premier quality assurance.

SURE, IT'S CONVENIENT, BUT WILL PARENTS REALLY LEARN GOOD CO-PARENTING SKILLS?

One the best features of this unique program is that Moms and Dads address the concerns, fears, and emotions that they are both feeling but perhaps have been unable to share and work through during the divorce. Our Communication Module, for examples, helps parents and children begin a new form of dialogue that deepens understanding, compassion and safety for the child who has been "caught in the middle" up until that point. The goal is that parents and their children learn to express themselves differently and give way to new, healthier behaviors designed to minimize the anxieties and fear-based emotions that often sabotage peaceful co-parenting.

WHY IS PEACEFUL CO-PARENTING SO DIFFICULT FOR MANY PARENTS?

The Co-Parenting Center understands that when litigating divorced parents can't let go hurts and disappointments related to their marriage, they are not open to listening to and advocate for their child's need to love their other parent freely. So, this is where we start. We know that when parents finally have this shift towards honoring their child's love for their other parent, the parent's emotional growth and healing can lend itself to decreased conflicts in Parent Agreements (custody arrangements), and can shorten the amount of time and suffering the families experience in the divorce process. And, that's always good for the child!

HELP PARENTS MOVE TOWARDS A CHILD-CENTERED PARENT AGREEMENT

Partially written by experienced mental health counselors with extensive Co-Parenting, Family Law, and Divorce Grief experience, you will have the confidence knowing that the SPIRITT Co-Parenting Certification is unique, comprehensive, expansive and well-researched to meet court requirements and help parents work towards the best interest of the child.
